Build, validate, and defend a controlled n8n AI-agent workflow from trigger to production-minded handoff.
A professional, implementation-first workshop in which learners build a fictional support-operations agent using synthetic data. The agent receives a support request, validates and enriches its data, retrieves relevant policy context, selects bounded tools, prepares or performs a controlled ticket action, and escalates consequential or uncertain actions for human review. Learners remain in n8n throughout the workshop: configuring nodes, mapping expressions, connecting tools, inspecting executions, inducing failures, running evaluations, and preparing a production-minded handoff. No paid third-party service is required: unavailable applications can be represented by mock data, Data Tables where available, a Manual Trigger, a test Webhook, or a callable mock sub-workflow. Mastery requires an overall score of at least 80%, including a functioning or testable capstone package. This is independent training by AI Agentic School and is not an official n8n course, credential, endorsement, or certification.
What you will be able to build
- Configure and connect a current n8n AI Agent node with a compatible chat model, at least one tool, explicit instructions, bounded responsibilities, and deterministic workflow controls.
- Map trigger data, expressions, structured fields, retrieved context, and memory into an n8n agent workflow so that inputs and outputs remain inspectable and testable.
- Implement controlled real-world actions using app-node tools, HTTP Request tools, or callable sub-workflows with explicit parameter contracts, least-privilege credentials, and side-effect verification.
- Build human approval, fallback, error, retry, timeout, deduplication, and recovery paths that prevent silent failure or uncontrolled consequential actions.
- Create representative evaluation cases, inspect workflow executions, diagnose agent and tool failures, and assess quality, latency, cost, and operational readiness.
- Deliver and defend a functioning n8n AI-agent workflow—or a testable implementation package when credentials prevent live execution—supported by portfolio-ready technical and operational documentation.
